Twinax is a terminal app for connecting to IBM i systems. It is built to keep your information on your Mac.
What Twinax collects
Nothing. Twinax has no analytics, no advertising, no accounts and no crash-reporting service. The developer receives no data from the app.
Where your information goes
Twinax connects only to the hosts you configure, and sends them only what a terminal session requires, including what you type. Use TLS to encrypt those connections.
What stays on your Mac
- Session settings (host names, ports, display options, key bindings) are stored in the app’s own preferences.
- If you choose to save a sign-on password, it is stored in your macOS Keychain.
- If you turn on traffic logging for troubleshooting, the log files are written inside the app’s container on your Mac. They can contain anything shown or typed in the session, so turn logging off when you’re done.
- “Save Host Data Stream” writes a file only where you choose, containing data the host sent.
Your choices
Deleting a session in Twinax removes its settings and its saved password. macOS keeps an app’s data after the app itself is deleted; to remove everything, delete the folder ~/Library/Containers/dev.alexthompson.twinax and any “Twinax TN5250” items in Keychain Access.
